The Civil War, a turning point in American history that affected all of its citizens. In this short film, Willard is called upon by the Union to uphold the right of all people to be free. He must go, but not without leaving something behind. Marion, his secret lover, must stay back and wait for him. No matter the time and distance however, the two are meant to be. WIllard spends every minute of his time away thinking of Marion. Likewise, not a day goes by that Marion does not think of her ill-fated lover, fighting for what is right. After a long 3 years, the war has ended and the two lovers can finally reunite in a new kind of world, a world of freedom. However, it seems like old ways and grudges stand in their way.
